LUCIE MCDOUGALL
ARTISTS AND BOOKS
IAN HAMILTON FINLAY
Finlay is a Scottish poet, artist and gardener. His work and ethos are closely linked to that of mine, with the importance of nature at the forefront. He was greatly concerned by "man's relationship to nature" and he carried a poetic view of the world in every aspect of his life.

ULISES CARRIÓN
Beyond Bookworks: Ulises Carrión’s Cultural Strategies
by
Sarah E. Hamerman
interestingly carrion was more interested in the ways which a book is made rather than the content. the binding, typography etc. everything carefully considered. the books do not hold artwork, they are the artwork.
Carrions use of rubber stamps was something I wanted to take inspiration from when printing the text inside Dachaigh.
sketchbook and quick documentation of landscape through the use of watercolour. simple form and line work.
